The Government of Goa, exercising powers under Section 57 of the Goa Public Health Act, 1985, has declared snake bite cases and deaths as a notifiable disease throughout the State of Goa. Accordingly, such cases and deaths are required to be notified in accordance with Part II of Chapter VII of the Act.
